Infrared thermal imaging detects thermal radiation consistent with elevated temperatures caused by defects. All exceptions will by documented and described in the Infrared Electrical Inspection Report.
Infrared electrical inspection is performed to identify and document thermal exceptions consistent with necessary repairs and/or maintenance. Exceptions are usually caused by loose or deteriorated connections, short circuits, overloads, load imbalances or faulty, mismatched or improperly-installed components.

Once the inspection complete, the thermographer will compile both thermal and visible light images into a written report. Images will be accompanied by collection data, location, description, and if desired, repair priorities of the exceptions.
